Sammy Smith won his 2nd race of the weekend, taking The Progress Group 250 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race on Saturday, a day after he won the Love’s Truck Stop 225 in the NASCAR Truck Series on Friday.

He won the NASCAR O’Reilly’s Auto Parts race on Saturday, making a last lap pass of teammate Carson Kvapli on the final line and beating him back through the trioval. Kvapil led a race-high 67 laps, but not the one that mattered most.

Smith becomes the first driver to win multiple races the same weekend at the same track as team owner, NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. did it back in April 2003.

Jesse Love, who started from the pole in the No. 2 Chevrolet, finished third. Justin Allgaier followed in fourth, giving JR Motorsports three of the top four positions.

Sheldon Creed completed the top five, followed by Corey Day, Blaine Perkins, Dean Thompson, Brandon Jones and Anthony Alfredo.
